Marking Your Garage Sale Items

Years ago when preparing for a Community Sale a neighbor gave me a handy tip that has proven useful time and time again.  She told me that as I was preparing items for my sale to make piles based on the selling price of the items.   By placing your 25 cent, 50 cent, 1 dollar items together in groups it made tagging items go much quicker. 

The best part—my children were able to help with out having to ask the price of each individual item! Over time we have adapted her methods a little by using boxes or totes lined up neatly along the wall of the garage.  Things go so much quicker when you can just grab a tote and know everything in it is going to be 50¢ or $1.00!
